An Invitation for A Miracle!

Forgive, as a word, and as an ideal, is very misunderstood in our world. Not only is the idea misunderstood, but the word itself is often intensely disliked. The reason for this misunderstanding is that we “think” of Forgiveness in worldly and human terms, and this is part of the error.

Forgiveness is Divine. When we honestly seek to find it’s true meaning deep within ourselves, Miracles begin to happen. A simple willingness to look past what we think we know about Forgiveness is all that’s needed to open the door to these Miracles.

Letting Go is not something that we can do on our own. Recognizing the need for a power greater than ourselves in this process is the key to Spiritual Freedom.

Forgiveness is the act of letting go of something that is no longer there. It is not about accepting or increasing future suffering. To the contrary, Forgiveness is simply releasing pain from the past in order to end future suffering.

Forgiveness is not about someone, or something else. The idea that we must forgive someone else is only a step in learning the real Truth about letting go. This step helps to teach us where the real problem resides…in us. Self Forgiveness is the end game. It is through the compassion that arises from Forgiving ourselves that we learn to Forgive others.

Just how Forgiving are you? Have you ever misplaced your car keys and really paid attention to how you treat yourself…what you “call” yourself for this simple oversight? If you give some thought to this, it just might reveal a lot about yourself and your ability to Forgive.

Pay attention to how you treat yourself…this simple awareness invites positive change. And if interested in making peace with yourself, try this simple exercise of kindness for a few days and see how you feel.

When you recognize that you are agitated and feel frustrated because you are “not doing what you should be doing”, or struggling, simply stop for 3 – 5 minutes and find a quiet place to sit. Take a few deep breaths and find three (3) things to Forgive yourself for. It doesn’t matter what they are, big or small. After Forgiving yourself for something that you already cannot change, think of three (3) things in your life that you are Grateful for.

Forgiveness & Gratitude are an invitation for Miracles.
